Our Current Beers
- updated 1/1/2017
A Southern German-style pale lager with a soft and full grain character and subtle hoppiness.
A farmhouse ale. In the style of french saison, it's light and soft, with a lemony bitterness and traditonal farmhouse yeast character.
This is a special beer. Our 100th brew at Folksbier, it's a golden German Pilsner made with small-batch barley malt from Troubadour Maltings in CO, and fresh Santiam hops grown at the Folksbier Hop Yard in Northern Michigan. We dry-hopped this beer with the same varietal, yielding a spicy, earthy aroma and bitterness.
The Morning Dew
German-American pale ale. Single malt (British Floor Malted Maris Otter, so good) with American bittering hops and new-wave German aroma hop Huell Melon for pleasant berry and melon overtones.
This Berliner-style weisse (sour wheat beer) is hazy, dry, tart, and fruity, with big tropical flavors of pineapple and guava from two strains of Lactobacillus. This version is unfruited, but we will be releasing many with fruit additions. Keep your eyes peeled for a raspberry rendition and a salty satsuma mandarin, coming soon.
Melds lightly fruity esters with the berry and citrus notes of Huell Melon and Strisslespalt hops. Rolled oats and malted wheat provide just enough fullness to provide balance. Extended lagering in the traditional method mellows this north German ale.
An American pale ale loaded with big juicy flavor from Columbus and Azacca in the kettle and the dry hop. Pine, earth and papaya. Soft, rounded malt character lets the hops sing loud.
A dry, crisp rye schwartzbier that's been a Folksbier staple since day one. Light toffee and cola notes are balance by citrsus hop character and rye spice. A dark lager with a clean finish.
