We make beer the old fashioned way while adapting to the best of new technology. We never sacrifice quality for increased production. Our impetus for opening a brewery is that we are passionate about fresh beer of the highest quality. We make well balanced beers that take the best parts of traditional old world brewing and combine them with new world ingredients, influences and flavors.
Our Current Beers
- Updated 4/6/2017
A Southern German-style pale lager with a soft and full grain character and subtle hoppiness.
The Morning Dew
Our traditional pale ale. Single malt (British Floor-Malted Maris Otter) with American bittering hops and new-wave German aroma hop Huell Melon for pleasant berry and melon overtones. A smooth and drinkable hoppy ale.
This sunny ale consists of a rich and clean body and a dry finish. Strisselspalt, a traditional French hop, provides flavors of melon and citrus. French ale yeast provides plenty of acidity to make this beer perfect for pairing with fatty meat, BBQ, roasted veggies, cheese, pizza etc...
Our bière de garde is meant for the raw, colder months. A rich maltiness and warming alcohol easily restores the spirits. Deep gold in color, with an interesting interplay between spicy noble hops and the citric zing from pounds of rose hips added to the boil.
The newest incarnation of our New England-style IPA. A lush, velvety mouthfeel comes from copious amounts of wheat and a full english ale yeast. Incredible amounts of hops yields an appealing bitterness, due to innovative production techniques and double dry-hopping with an avalanche of Amarillo, Simcoe, and Azacca. The result is a hazy juice bomb.
Our popular dark rye ale is packed with decadent flavors of kola nut and toffee, yet balanced by piney hops and a light, crisp mouthfeel.
Grand Army Stout
A smooth and flavorful nitro stout. Balanced and dry, oats provide a rich mouthfeel and caramelized rye adds flavors of cola and nougat. Originally developed with our friends at Grand Army Bar, this beer is now available to the market at large with their blessing. Great with oysters or as a fresh and local alternative to other Irish-style Nitro Stouts.
With Azacca and Mandarina Bavaria in the kettle, and Columbus and Ekuanot in the dry hop, Solar Boar is a tropical, juicy experience. Aromas of mango, citrus, pepper and pine, a traditional malt bill provides a sturdy backbone for a balanced hop bitterness.
